Summary
E-3 DRAGON Test Flight Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the E-3 DRAGON Contract Logistics Support (CLS) and Training Systems Support Center (TSSC) contract in service to the USAF and E-3 DRAGON flight simulator program. This position will work closely with the CLS and TSSC Managers to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) inputs and recommendations during the verification, validation, and correction of simulator discrepancies. This talented hire must have a strong background in systems knowledge and an aptitude to connect cause and effect relationships along with the technical and operational aspects of operating the E-3 modified Boeing 707. As a SME, this position must stay technically proficient and have an ability to clearly communicate, in detail, simulator deficiency issue, with software, mechanical, and aerospace engineers to isolate faults and malfunctions within the simulator design and recommend actions for solutions. Additionally, as a SME, this position requires a strong instructional background and will be expected to coordinate with the instructors and operators to understand the nature of discrepancies and conditions within training scenarios for deeper troubleshooting and resolution. This SME should also understand simulator training objectives and desired outcomes to recommend possible work-arounds (where practicable) to achieve these goals until deficiency resolutions are implemented.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Successful Candidate should have 6+ years previous experience as a flight engineer crew member on E-3 AWACS and previous experience as an instructor or evaluator on the DRAGON-modified aircraft. Successful candidate should have 1500 or more flying hours in the above mentioned type aircraft, experience as an academic platform/training device (Simulator) instructor. Candidate will require the ability to acquire a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Physical Demands
Must be able to climb and descend stairs in order to enter and exit the simulator under normal and emergency conditions. Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift comfortably within the simulator to perform functional tests and coordinate with other test members.

Other Duties
Must be able to conduct research and data entry functions on company software tools to update publications and databases.
Must be proficient in all Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) tools and applications to prepare and utilize Takeoff and Landing Data (TOLD) and Weight and Balance calculations for simulator test and verification. As these data are the basis for the simulators it is essential the SME has a through understanding of these calculations and how they affect aircraft performance.
