Java Full Stack Developer – Spring, React/Angular, SQL & REST APIs

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Java React Developer to develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications and systems with React or Angular user interfaces. The role contributes to the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that support business and technology objectives.

The successful candidate will work across backend and frontend development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, resolve technical issues, and apply software development practices that support quality, maintainability, and timely delivery.

Software Requirements

Required Software Skills

• Java: Strong programming experience in Java and practical experience developing enterprise or web-based applications.
• Java EE: Strong knowledge of the Java EE platform and its application in enterprise software development.
• React or Angular: Experience developing web application interfaces using React or Angular.
• Spring, Hibernate, or JSF: Experience with one or more Java web development frameworks.
• Relational databases and SQL: Experience designing, querying, integrating with, and troubleshooting relational database solutions.
• RESTful web services: Understanding and practical experience developing or integrating RESTful services.
• Git or equivalent version control system: Experience with source-code management, branching, merging, and code collaboration.
• Agile methodologies: Familiarity with Agile software development practices and delivery cycles.
• Development versions: Experience working with the Java, Java EE, React, Angular, framework, database, and tooling versions used by the assigned Synechron project, including the ability to understand compatibility and upgrade considerations.

Preferred Software Skills

• Experience with both React and Angular.
• Experience with additional Spring capabilities, Hibernate-based persistence, or JSF-based applications.
• Familiarity with automated testing, build, deployment, code-quality, and continuous integration tools.
• Experience with API documentation, monitoring, logging, and application performance tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based application development environments.
• Familiarity with accessibility, responsive design, and frontend performance practices.

Equivalent tools and technologies may be considered where they provide comparable capabilities.

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications and systems using Java and Java EE technologies.
• Develop and enhance web interfaces using React or Angular.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code across backend and frontend components.
• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful web services.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain Java backend services, React or Angular interfaces, database integrations, and RESTful web services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members during requirements discussions, Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, code reviews, and feature delivery activities.
• Investigate defects and production or development issues, implement fixes, update technical documentation, and contribute to application quality and performance improvements.
• Make implementation decisions within the agreed technical scope, manage assigned development priorities, and escalate risks, dependencies, or design concerns when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in Java software development is required as stated; the position additionally targets candidates with 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Certification in Java, software development, Agile delivery, cloud technologies, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant training in Java, Java EE, React, Angular, web services, databases, secure development, testing, or Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Commitment to continuous professional development through technical training, hands-on learning, knowledge sharing, and awareness of evolving Java and web development practices.
