Job Summary
In this role You will accelerate Signify's expansion into high-growth adjacencies beyond lighting. The position is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, validating customer demand, and driving commercialization of emerging solutions. By combining market insight, ecosystem development, and commercial execution, the role will help build scalable and repeatable growth platforms that contribute to Signify's long-term intelligent buildings strategy and recurring revenue ambitions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Market Discovery & Opportunity Development: conduct customer discovery and market validation activities, build and manage a structured opportunity pipeline, translate customer challenges into scalable value proposition inputs.
• Business Development & Revenue Growth: create and develop new business opportunities across target markets and segments, drive pipeline generation and support conversion of strategic opportunities, iIdentify lighthouse customers and early adopters and support regional teams with go-to-market execution.
• Partnership & Ecosystem Development: develop & drive business growth with software, technology, and service partners, support joint business planning and co-selling initiatives, build and maintain relationships with industry influencers and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Commercialization & Market Activation: support creation of sales playbooks, value propositions, and customer-facing materials, enable regional sales organizations through training and activation programs, monitor adoption, customer feedback, and market performance, facilitate customer and partner feedback loops into product and solution development.

Critical Experiences

• 7+ years of experience in business development, solution sales, or key account management.
• Experience within Smart Buildings, Building Automation, PropTech, IoT, SaaS, Workplace Experience, Digital Buildings, Energy Management, or related industries.
• Experience with intelligent building ecosystems, BMS platforms, workplace solutions, energy management systems, or building analytics - strong advantage
• Demonstrated success creating new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
• Exposure to software-enabled solutions and recurring revenue business models.
• Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent customer discovery and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to translate market insights into business opportunities.
• Strategic thinking combined with execution focus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Business case development and financial acumen.
• Stakeholder management across multiple organizational levels.

• Experience evaluating partnership, investment, or M&A opportunities - is a plus.
• Knowledge of building technologies, sensors, data platforms, and digital services - is a plus.
