Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Connex Developer with 3–6 years of experience in the payments domain. The role will focus on developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting ACI Connex applications that enable payment transaction processing and switching. The successful candidate will work with Connex scripts, interfaces, message formats, and payment workflows. The role will contribute to reliable transaction processing, application performance, production stability, and effective delivery of payment solutions through collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, testing teams, and technology teams.
Software Requirements
Required
- ACI Connex: 3–6 years of hands-on development, customization, enhancement, and support experience.
- Connex scripts, interfaces, and message formats: Practical experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting payment integrations.
- Payment processing systems: Strong knowledge of payment transaction processing and transaction switching.
- ISO 8583: Understanding of message structures and transaction flows.
- Card payments: Understanding of card-based payment processing.
- ATM/POS processing: Understanding of ATM and point-of-sale transaction processing.
- Acquiring and issuing systems: Understanding of acquiring and issuing transaction flows.
- SQL: Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and deployment support.
- Production support: Experience troubleshooting application, transaction, and performance-related issues.
Preferred
- Experience supporting Banking and Financial Services projects.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with major payment network ecosystems, including Visa, Mastercard, NPCI, or similar networks.
- Experience supporting high-volume transaction processing.
- Experience with payment application monitoring, performance analysis, and operational improvement.
Overall Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, enhance, and maintain applications using ACI Connex.
- Design and implement payment transaction workflows, interfaces, scripts, and message formats.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Apply knowledge of payment processing, transaction switching, ISO 8583, card payments, ATM/POS processing, and acquiring/issuing systems.
- Support application enhancements, bug fixes, releases, and production issues.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, testing teams, and other technology teams.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and project requirements.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect analysis, deployment support, and post-release validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, transaction-processing, integration, and performance-related issues.
- Use SQL and database concepts to investigate and resolve data-related issues.
- Document technical designs, transaction flows, support procedures, and implementation decisions.
- Contribute to stable, efficient, and maintainable payment-processing solutions while considering effective use of processing and infrastructure resources.
