Ready to Power a Smarter World with us?
At Generac, we are accelerating the transformation of the electric grid through advanced microgrid technologies, distributed energy resources (DERs), and intelligent control systems.
We are seeking a highly motivated Microgrid Controls Engineering Intern/Co-Op to join our Industrial Microgrid Controls Team in Fort Collins, Colorado. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and power systems engineering to improve the performance, reliability, and operation of real-world microgrid deployments.
Working alongside experienced controls, software, and power systems engineers, you will analyze operational data from fielded systems, identify performance improvement opportunities, develop predictive insights, validate next-generation control strategies through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, and contribute to the future of intelligent energy systems.
Unlike traditional engineering internships, this role provides direct exposure to operational microgrid assets and customer applications, where your work may directly influence future products, system architectures, and customer outcomes.
